2018 CAPA Annual Council Meeting

The 2018 CAPA Annual Council Meeting (ACM) will be held from the 5th to the 7th of December. It will be hosted by the Newcastle University Postgraduate Students Association, at the University of Newcastle.

The first day of the ACM will be held at the University of Newcastle’s Callaghan campus.

The second and third days of the ACM will be held at NeW Space, the University of Newcastle’s new precinct located in the Newcastle CBD.

The full agenda and schedule for the ACM will be released in early November.

Registeration for the ACM 5 – 7 December 2018 is now open

I want to attend the ACM, what do i need to do?

  • Complete the Registration Form.
  • If you are attending as a Delegate (are representing your organisation and want to vote in the ACM) complete and submit the Delegate Credentialling form
  • A limited number of access grants are also available to assist disadvantaged students to attend the ACM. Grants will be allocated on an individual needs basis, delegates can apply through the registration form.

21 November – Registration closes
21 November – Delegate credentialing forms due
5 December – ACM begins

9:30am – 5:00pm: ACM and annual election of office bearers

Evening: 7.00 pm on Conference dinner

Thursday 7 December:  CAPA Gala Dinner and Awards presentation

Dress code: Semi-formal

Accommodation

CAPA will not be including accommodation options with this years registration – all delegates are required to make their own accommodation arrangements. Affiliates are advised to book their accommodation as soon as possible to ensure they are have a choice of options. Please note that day one of the ACM will be at the Callaghan campus, and day two of the ACM will be at NeW Space in the CBD.

Delegates attending the ACM are encouraged to join the Facebook group which will be set up for attendees closer to the event. This will facilitate informal communication and announcements for the duration of the ACM.
