Job posting: Residential Life Coordinator - Casual (UTS Housing Service)
This is a casual position working Monday-Friday during business hours between 9am - 5pm, with a minimum of 35 hours each week. Experience working in a student services environment would be ideal.
The UTS Housing Service provides a range of accommodation services for UTS students in a safe environment that encourages social interaction and celebrates diversity.
Our Residential Life Coordinators are involved in organising activities and programs for over 400 students in our 3 inner city student residences. Managing a large team of senior residents, you will have the opportunity to use your energy and enthusiasm to build a cohesive Residential community.
Your commitment to a positive student experience will allow you to provide a high standard of pastoral support and students, and ensure disciplinary, security and safety issues are resolved in a considered and efficient manner.
With sound organisational and project management skills, you will manage the resident recruitment process including handling of applications, room allocation and Residents’ move in & move out process.
University Housing will increase by 720 beds by the end of 2011. There may be further opportunities and career prospects for the successful candidate.
To succeed in this position you will be:
- Confident working independently
- Computer literate and quick to learn new applications
- Experienced working with students / young people
- Experienced in marketing and promotions, project planning and implementation, and the coordination of programs and events that enhance community life.
- Skilled in managing and resolving conflict

Salary range: Casual position salary will vary between $41.33 to $44.75 /hour depending on experience.
