The Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor and Vice President – Research is responsible for the administration of research and research training.

The Centre for Research and Graduate Training is a service centre that assists and supports academic staff and research higher degree students. It aims to enhance CSU's Research performance, profile and culture, to facilitate a positive learning experience for research students leading to successful completions and to oversee consultancies, commercialisation, intellectual property and outside profession activity. The Centre supports the University’s commitment to excellence in research, by identifying and supporting areas of research strength and projects which allow for internationally competitive research and research training to be facilitated.

This position provides high level administrative and policy support to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research), including providing strategic and policy advice, undertaking background research, drafting a range of reports and communications, following up actions and initiating and/or monitoring the activities of the Research Management Committee and other Government initiatives and may be required to travel.
