CAPA builds relationship with Australian Federation of University Women (AFUW)

Dear CAPA Women and Supporters

In recent weeks, CAPA has been in contact with the Australian Federation of University Women. AFUW is keen to encourage further ties with CAPA including an exchange of ideas about government policy in the area of women's involvement in higher education.

However, AFUW is also keen to develop links between their local sub-branches and postgraduate associations. I have directed them to CAPA's list of affiliates on our website but thought that it would also be nice if CAPA affiliates made contact with their local AFUW sub-branch and introduced themselves. There may be possibilities for inviting AFUW representatives to postgraduate events, advertising AFUW events, meetings and scholarships to postgraduate students or even hosting shared events. But these are all things that can only be done at a local level.
