Policy and Research Advisor

Meghan B. Hopper is the 2012 CAPA Policy and Research Advisor. In 2011, she was CAPA Vice President (Equity) and Women's Officer. She has been elected twice as the Monash Gippsland representative to the Monash Postgraduate Association Executive Committee (2010 and 2011). She has also served as a student representative on the Monash Academic Board, the Monash Faculty of Business and Economics Board and as President and previously, Off-Campus Vice President of the Monash University Gippsland Student Union.
Meghan most recently completed a Graduate Diploma of Arts (Research) at Monash University, specialising in Australian political journalism during federal election campaigns. In 2012, she is commencing her PhD at Monash University in Australian political journalism and gender studies. She has also previously studied as a postgraduate at Deakin University, and as an undergraduate at RMIT.
Meghan works part-time as the National Communications Officer of EMILY’s List, a women's political organisation. In her spare time, she enjoys reading non-academic material, playing with her cat, CJ and drinking a lot of coffee.
