Nigel Palmer

Nigel Palmer has been a long-term advocate for postgraduate students, serving as President of the Flinders Postgraduate Students' Association between 2003 and 2006, and as National President for CAPA since 2007. In that time he has always kept the interests of postgraduate students "on the radar", securing postgraduate representation in a wide range of forums. Nigel takes every opportunity to ensure that international postgraduate students' interests are represented as well, having been an international student himself (at UC Berkeley, 1995-1996).

Nigel has a long-term interest in applied ethics in organisations and in management (the topic area for his PhD). He has undergraduate psychology and honours philosophy degrees from Flinders University. Nigel has worked in higher education as a tutor, lecturer, editor and researcher, and invests most of his spare time maintaining his 1973 Volkswagen Kombi.
