Invitation to the launch of 'The Couch' - International Student Drop-in Centre in Melbourne
This is a FREE event and we
would like to encourage you to come along and bring your friends! There will be
free food, hot chocolate, street entertainment and street safety activities in
Westwood Lane and you will have an opportunity to view this new student
space. Bring your camera!
The event is
to raise the general awareness of The Couch – International Student
Centre and the importance of the provision of a safe and free place for
students to socialise, relax and study. Coordinated by the Salvation Army
and the Australian Federation of International Students (AFIS) and supported by
the City of Melbourne, the project is designed to meet
the specific social and connection needs of international students in the City
of Melbourne.
The Couch – International Student Centre is located at the Salvation Army, 69 Bourke Street Melbourne. It is opened on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 5pm-10pm. You will have access to computers, free internet access, meals, complimentary hot drinks and access to a range of information and support services.

Lord Mayor, Robert Doyle.
