In anticipation of a Senate Inquiry into international students, and a Commonwealth Round Table on international student issues, CAPA is co-hosting a forum in Melbourne on international student issues, and supported by the University of Melbourne.

Although many of the issues of concern in regard to international postgraduates may seem relatively well established (eg improvements in visa conditions, transport concessions, etc), it is important to ensure that views expressed by CAPA as part of any consultation process (including by CAPA’s International Officers) are informed by the interests and needs of international students in the postgraduate community more broadly.

CAPA will be co-host a forum on international student issues with the National Union of Students (NUS), next Monday and Tuesday the 29^th and 30^th of June (with a welcome session on Sunday June 28^th).
