Disability Officers

Alex Chung has been active in campaigning for social and political causes since his undergraduate years, where he was involved with the Ontario Young Liberals in proliferating progressive values throughout the province and Canada. Having worked with upmarket corporates including The Economist Group, Procter & Gamble, and Clifford Chance LLP, he brings with him significant organizational experience. As the current President of the newly formed 2011 Postgraduate Council (PGC) at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), he is committed to standing up for student-centric values and campaigns on both a regional and national level in Australia. Previously, he was involved in student government at the Schulich School of Business in Toronto, Canada. Outside of school, Alex is a strong supporter of human rights and is the current Co-Convenor of the Women's Action Group (NSW), Amnesty International (Australia).
Alex is undertaking his MA at UNSW, with a focus on Islamic issues, terrorism, and political violence. He is looking forward to writing his thesis on improving pluralistic frameworks for multicultural integration within Western OECD nations.
