2016 General Meeting and ACM Information

The 2016 Council of Australian Postgraduate Associations (CAPA) Annual Council Meeting (ACM) which includes the Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held from Wednesday the 23rd to Friday 25th November at in the ABS Lecture Theatre, Abercrombie Business School, The University of Sydney, Camperdown Campus, Sydney.

I want to attend the ACM, what do i need to do?

  • Complete the Registration Form – ACCOMMODATION IS NOW BOOKED OUT.
  • If you are attending as a Delegate (are representing your organisation and want to vote in the ACM) complete and submit the Delegate Credentialling form
    • Accommodation close to campus available – limited number of rooms so get in fast. – ACCOMMODATION IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE.
    • A limited number of access grants are also available to assist disadvantaged students to attend the ACM. Grants will be allocated on an individual needs basis, delegates can apply through the registration form.

Click here for the full agenda. It is recommended that delegates stay 23th -25th to take full advantage of the meeting. The venue is ABS Lecture Theatre, Abercrombie Business School, The University of Sydney, Camperdown Campus, Sydney.

Submissions for the ACM agenda are currently OPEN

Affiliate organisations are invited to make submissions on the following items .

  • Agenda items
  • Constitutional amendments
  • Regulatory amendments
  • Policy amendments and proposals

If submitting items for the agenda please include a description and supporting information for that item.

If submitting amendments to the Constitution, Regulations or Policy please provide a document with those changes and a description, along with a copy of that document (The Constitution, Regulations or Policy) where changes have been added using Track Changes to help us keep track of them.

Key Dates 

  • 21/10/2016 – Changes to the consitutional, regulations and agenda items due
  • 22/10/2016 – Draft agenda and changes to consitution and regulations circulated
  • 14/11/2016 – Registration closes
  • 11/11/2016 – Policy submissions due
  • 18/11/2016 – Proxies due for organisations not attending
  • 22/11/2016 – Delegate credentialing forms due
  • 23/11/2016 – ACM begins at 10am

Accommodation

Accommodation is NOW FULL at Mandelbaum House, 385 Abercrombie Street, Darlington, Sydney.  Check-in is from 2.00pm and check-out at 10.00am

 

Directions to Mandelbaum House from the airport

Catch the train to Redfern Railway station. Walk south-west on Gibbons St towards Lawson St

Turn right onto Lawson St Turn left onto Abercrombie St.
