2017 General Meeting and ACM Information

The 2017 Council of Australian Postgraduate Associations (CAPA) Annual Council Meeting (ACM) which includes the Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held from Wednesday the 6 to Friday 8 December at in the University of Western Australia, 35 Stirling Hwy, Crawley, Perth.  The ACM will be held in the Wilsmore and Tattersall Lecture Theatres

Registeration for the ACM 6 – 8 December 2017 is now closed

I want to attend the ACM, what do i need to do?

  • Complete the Registration Form – Registration has now closed.
  • If you are attending as a Delegate (are representing your organisation and want to vote in the ACM) complete and submit the Delegate Credentialling form
    • Accommodation close to campus is available.  This year accommodation includes breakfast – limited number of rooms so get in fast.
    • A limited number of access grants are also available to assist disadvantaged students to attend the ACM. Grants will be allocated on an individual needs basis, delegates can apply through the registration form.

Affiliate organisations are invited to make submissions on the following items.  SUBMISSIONS ARE NOW CLOSED.

If submitting items for the agenda please include a description and supporting information for that item.

If submitting amendments to the Constitution, Regulations or Policy please provide a document with those changes and a description, along with a copy of that document (The Constitution, Regulations or Policy) where changes have been added using Track Changes to help us keep track of them.

  • 6/11/2016 – Changes to the consitutional, regulations and agenda items due
  • 6/11/2016 – Draft agenda and changes to consitution and regulations circulated
  • 27/11/2017 – Registration closes
  • 21/11/2017 – Policy submissions due
  • 1/12/2017 – Proxies due for organisations not attending
  • 4/12/2017 – Delegate credentialing forms due
  • 6/12/2017 – ACM begins at 9am

These are the bus routes to Elizabeth Quay https://www.perthairport.com.au/to-and-from-the-airport/transport-options/public-transport

At Elizabeth Quay the 950, 102, 107, 23 buses all go past UWA and all leave from Stand 1B and stop outside UWA and UniHall

Accommodation

Accommodation will be at University Hall, 130 Winthrop Avenue,
Crawley WA 6009.  Accommodation is single rooms with shared bathrooms and includes breakfast.  University Hall have accommodation available for the Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 December for those who would like to stay the weekend.   Please book through the registration for and indicate if you student organisation will be paying for these extra nights or yourself.

Delegates attending the ACM are encouraged to join the Facebook group set up for attendees. This will facilitate informal communication and announcements for the duration of the ACM.
